Door Housings are in standard 3 ft. lengths. They have a flat back with a peel off paper cover. When the paper is removed it exposes a permanent super-strong glue which enables the installer to attach the housing quickly and efficiently to the door. Door housings are made of flame-retardant rigid PVC which will provide many years of service. The housing tracks are engineered to facilitate easy installation and replacement of the door seals. It will remain attractive and maintain its color.
The Door Seals are also 3 ft. lengths. They are designed to be easily slide into the Door Housings and can be replaced in seconds. The Door Seals are impregnated with safe insect and rodent repellent oils designed to keep unwanted insects and rodents from entering your premises for up to 4 months. The FASST SealTM Exclusion System products incorporate patented and proprietary technology to provide safe and effective repellent seals with long term residual activity never before seen in insecticide free products.
Door seals are a two part system: 1) Door Seal Housing, and 2) Door Seal
Door Seal Housings and Door Seals come in standard 36 inch lengths.
Make sure door width matches to Door Seal Housing and Door Seal length. If Door Seal Housing and Door Seal are longer, snip off excess.
Remove a Door Seal from vapor bag package making sure to reseal package to maintain Door Seal repellent Ingredients.
With Door Seal Housing smooth taped side facing to door and smooth side of Door Seal also facing the door, with the two Door Seal Channels on top, slide the Door Seal into the Door Seal Housing making sure the lower Door Seal channel aligns with the bottom lip of the Door Seal Housing. Both Door seal channels will then be above the Door Seal Housing bottom lip.
Method #1
Align Door Seal Housing-Seal Assembly with door so that Seal is gently resting on floor. Mark position.
Remove Door Seal Housing rear tape and attach Door Seal Housing-Seal Assembly onto door.
To permanently affix Door Seal Housing to door use 3 x 1/2 inch self-tapping screws with screws on end and 1 screw in middle. Screw into Door Housing screw locator groove for ease of placement and alignment.
Method #2
Remove rear Door Seal Housing tape and align Door Seal Housing-Seal Assembly with door so that Seal is gently resting on floor being careful not to accidently stick housing onto door.
Begin sticking Door Seal Housing onto door from either end while keeping Door Seal Housing-Seal Assembly 1-2 inches from door and gently resting on floor. Move hand along length of assembly sticking housing onto door while maintaining proipe height so Door Seal is always lightly resting on floor.
To permanently affix Door Seal Housing to door use 3 x 1/2 inch self-tapping screws with screws on end and 1 screw in middle. Screw into Door Housing screw locator groove for ease of placement and alignment.
Follow Door Seals Directions for Use and install on outside of Garage Door in continuous 36 inch sections.
Can alternatively install on inside of garage doors if there are no screws or bolts in the way.
Slide out Door Seals and replace every 4 months to insure optimum insect and rodent repellency.
